MHAA 1958Museum of History, Anthropology and Art designed by Arch. Henry Klumb in 1958. | MHAA 1959Area in gray depicts the portion of the project built in the first phase. The second phase, in which the rest of the building was to be completed, was never executed. | MHAA East Wing Renovation 1993The Ford Foundation approved a proposal from the Museum to improve its deposits and administrative facilities. By pairing funds with the UPR, a two-level building of 1,800 square feet was built to transfer office space, enabling the entire East Wing as the deposits. |

MHAA Renovation 2001The project proposed the renovation of the South Wing of the Museum. | MHAA Master Plan 2004This master plan was developed following the Museum's original 15ft x 15ft grid. The new buildings were conceptualized as independent pavilions that were connected by covered hallways. | MHAA Casa de Arte 2006Casa de Arte consists in the construction of a 3,000 square foot space to house educational facilities for children. The program included an amphitheater, art classrooms, library and administrative facilities. |
MHAA Expansion 2009The project consisted of a 20,000 square foot expansion to the MHAA, which included a new exhibition hall, deposits, library, bathrooms and educational facilities. This expansion used Klumb's parti as its main guide and updated the facilities to comply with current museology and conservation requirements. | MHAA West Wing Renovation 2019Rehabilitation and restoration of the West Wing of the MHAA damaged by the construction of the UPR Metro Station for the Tren Urbano in the late 1990's. This project also include the addition of a pavilion for children's art classes and an exterior terrace. |
